BEIJING:
The Pakistan Ambassador to China, Moinul Haque, extolled the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a transformative force for Islamabad and the entire region, fostering peace, prosperity, and growth. Haque highlighted CPEC’s alignment with Pakistan’s development agenda, lauding it as an inclusive and coordinated paradigm benefitting all segments of society.
Commemorating CPEC’s decade-long journey, Pakistan hosted an event in Islamabad, drawing a congratulatory message from President Xi Jinping.
The Gwadar Port and the completed Phase one of the Gwadar Free Trade Zone, stand as testaments to CPEC’s achievements. The project has attracted $25 billion in investments, generating 200,000 job opportunities.
The ambassador’s hope for CPEC’s second phase lies in its potential to enhance regional socio-economic growth and attract foreign direct investments.
